Registration Day 2: Off to a great start; updated NW Center info
Posted by westseattlegaragesale on April 11, 2008
One day into registration (deadline April 25) and as of first thing this morning, we have 14 sales already! (Remember, this isn’t one big sale, it’s dozens of them all over West Seattle on the same time, same day, with one map listing all the locations plus the 10-word-or-less ad you give us when you sign up.)
First, the registration basics again:
We’ve cut the fees from previous years — they cover the organizational costs including as many ways as we can find to promote and advertise The Big Day! (No worries, we’re hunting down the free ways, too!) Plus maps, posters, etc.
$12/individual sale, $20/business/organization/school, $30/block sale (three or more residences)
Go here for online registration and payment (you will be sent to a PayPal page after you fill out the registration form; you can use a credit card or, if you have one, PayPal account)
Go here to download a form you can mail in to register
Go here to see the list of local businesses where you can pick up a mail-in form
We also have updated information this morning from Northwest Center regarding options for donating your leftover items. West Seattle Community Garage Sale Day is partnering with Northwest Center again this year and happy to announce that if you want to donate items — WSCGSD participants donated 7 tons last year! — the Junction drop-off site will be open till 6:30 pm Saturday, 9 am-5 pm Sunday, or you can schedule a later pickup by using NW Center’s new site. Read all about it here.
